A word should also be given to the 12th with its island fairway which is not easy to find into a head-wind. This is compared with the left side which is a lot safer, and a lot easier to lay up on.

I thought the front nine was more interesting than the back with 2, 3 , 7 and 9 good holes; hole 7 is a very unusual par 5 in that off the tee you have a choice of two fairways either side of some tress, although I think in reality for most of us the left hand side is the route to take. with a par of 72
